Harry’s first day, 14th June 2005 - six weeks old

Harry on his first day

Harry now, a big boy! 24th February 2006

24th February 2006

Harry continues to wreak havoc (I thought cats were supposed dainty creatures)?  Harry is an exception, and for a cat, he is extremely clumsy. He is forever misjudging distances and lands with a loud “plop” on the floor, not that is bothers him, he just nonchalantly walks off with his tail in the air - there’s nothing wrong with his eyes, he is just exceptionally clumsy - it’s a good job he is a house
cat.

He continues to jump on our other cats backs, clinging on for dear life as (the carefully chosen victim - usually fast asleep) runs away with a strange black and white form attached to them. Of course, I pull Harry off as soon as I am alerted by the very loud squeals and spitting.
Other than that, he gets on well with his siblings.

He enjoys his daily cuddles with myself and Peter, and Sacha still finds him adorable. His new trick is to push whatever is placed on a bench or work-top onto the floor, (within half a second), this amuses him immensely, as he wears his “naughty” face when he does this, (ears flattened and eyes very large).

Oh, and I forgot to say, he is now larger than Sacha and our other three cats put together, and he eats roughly about the size of a horse, in cat (and human food) every day.

What a delightful terror.

Great Chums!

Harry is wearing his “butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth” face, and I am not quite sure what Ben’s face is saying.

Despite Ben’s exceedingly hairy back being Harry’s favourite jumping place, they remain firm chums.
The cardboard box they are sleeping in is new, and as
such, every cat wants to be in it. They lurk around expectantly, and when one cat leaves it, (to sleep, eat or use the litter tray), another claims it as theirs.
Very silly, but that’s cats for you.

Harry adores Sacha, they are definitely in love with one another - and happily play “catchy kissy” all day long.

It has been a hectic and loud morning and thankfully for my ears, they are all fast asleep, (our cats not my ears). However, it is nearing lunch time and no doubt, they will be reminding me very soon.  Harry has a habit of pushing plates (and just about anything he can get his paws on) off our work surfaces - sometimes breaking things - but that is him and that is what he does.

Spring is just around the corner (even though it is
freezing) and we are therefore looking forward to seeing lots of new wildlife and new beginnings.

Happy First Birthday to Harry!!!

How time flies, Harry is one year old today and is officially a big boy!! although he will always be my baby.
All is well with our cat family and Harry continues to torment/love our household - depending on his mood. He rules the roost, and our three other cats (Jack, Thomas and Ben) have (happily) accepted this. That is not to say the fur does not fly - it does, and often.
Overall, we are a contented feline (and Sacha) family.

Harry’s pages are now complete, and will remain
on-line as a reminder of his first year.
Of course, should we acquire another kitten..........
Watch this space.

Handsome boy
